About the Journal
Aims and Scope
The Journal of Interdisciplinary Human Studies (JIHS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to the critical and comparative study of the human sciences. Its aim is to advance integrative scholarship across the humanities and social sciences and to foster dialogue among disciplines.
The journal welcomes original research articles, review essays, and critical reflections in the following areas:
- Islamic theology, kalam, and Maturidi studies
- Islamic and Central Asian history and source studies
- Philosophy, ethics, and intellectual history
- Religious, cultural, and heritage studies
- Education, pedagogy, and the philosophy of education
- Language, linguistics, and literary studies
- Society, values, and social thought
Submissions employing comparative, interdisciplinary, or innovative methodological approaches are particularly encouraged. All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts.
